Jiri Kripac – narrator, singer and cornet player & David Stevens or Chris Tapperel – pianist
This one hour show is a great introduction to classic jazz, given to us by
American Negroes at the beginning of the 20th century. Special attention is given
to great jazz legends, like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Jely Roll Morton, W C Handy, Fats Waller, also including Graeme Bell AO, MBE, and their influences
and contributions to jazz history.
Tunes performed: Bourbon Street Parade, The Entertainer, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Stomps, Shout Blues, Original Dixieland One Step, Basin Street Blues, The Charleston, Black And Tan Fantasy, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Your Feet’s Too Big, Summertime, Sweet Georgia Brown, Minnie The Moocher, Tuxedo Junction, What A Wonderful World.

This show is approved by the NSW Department of Education.
